Classroom Dress Code for 2009...Effective
January 5th, ALL female dancers will be required
to wear black leotards and black tights to weekly
classes. Weekend rehearsals will be considered “free
days” and dancers may wear what they want, as long as
they have tights on. All hair must be pulled back,
and no jewelry of any kind, except for tiny posts in the
ears will be allowed. Students are required to have
appropriate shoes on for each class. Ballet shoes must
be worn for ballet, no exceptions!
.
Attendance…It
is important that students make absolutely every effort
to be in class. Choreography and staging are taught,
routines are finished, and being absent means missed
opportunities!

From the Business Office… Both
Jill and Robin have asked that I remind you to stay on
top of your payments, which include tuition and entry
fees for competitions. Tina Emery, dancewear manager,
also asks the same. You have received ample amount of
notice and communications regarding this. In August, a
timeline was given out, and you have received weekly
reminders for any upcoming events, payments, etc. If
you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail them
at
www.steppinoutthestudio@yahoo.com.
Private
Vocal…
I have such exciting news regarding our Vocal Program! I
have recently hired two new instructors, both of whom bring a wealth of
experience, knowledge, and training to our studio. Laura Finch and Sarah
Brown are both accepting new students on a very limited basis. Laura is
currently a music educator with the Blue Valley School District, and Sarah
is a vocal coach in the private sector (her son was Winthrop in The Music
Man at Starlight Theatre). Both are very excited about working with the
talented students at Steppin’ Out. Donna Maddox will
continue teaching also, and has a few openings, as well. If you are
interested in signing up, please see the front desk. The time slots are
filling quickly, so act now! |
