Company Dance Program

Steppin’ Out has one of the finest competition dance programs in the entire country, and was ranked #1 in Missouri by Dancer Magazine, February 2009. In August 0f 2009, the studio  was named by the Federation of Dance Competitions as one of the “Top 10 Schools In The Country.”   In August 0f 2010, Steppin’ Out will be honored in New Orleans as one of the Top 10 Studios in the  North Central Region.

Students selected to be in the one of the audition-only companies take classes from Ms. Phyllis and her company staff in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, and musical theatre.  The average company dancer spends two nights per week in the studio for 2-3 hours and on Saturdays for 2-3 hours.  Dancers have opportunities to work in Productions, Large and Small Groups, and advanced level dancers may opt to perform in Duo/Trio and Solo work.

Choreography and staging are taught, routines are finished, and being absent means missed opportunities!
